How can people be so stupid to let capital punishment go on. There is no reason for us to be killing ourselves, especially since it isn't neccisary. There is no proof that it reduces crime in any way. ALso any country that got rid of it didn't have crime rates go up. It's so pointless and unessicery but there are still countries that do it. This madness must be put to a stop! For one, people have been given the capital punishment even though they were innocent. Also, it costs a lot more to kill a prisoner than keep him/her locked up for life. Also if I had the choice between getting the death penalty and getting life in prison, I'd choose death. I think that life in prison is worse tahn death because there isn't anything to look forward to and it's in general a better punishment. I hope people open there eyes and see that it's time to stop these senseless killings.
